Public Consultation: Gaelic Broadcasting

The UK Government’s Scottish Affairs Committee has opened a public consultation to gather evidence on Gaelic broadcasting.

This inquiry will explore the value of Gaelic broadcasting for the revival of the Gaelic language and culture. The Committee will examine the statutory and funding issues faced by the industry and will look at how the BBC can better support minority language broadcasting, like Scottish Gaelic.

Views are being sought from individuals and organisations across Scotland and the deadline for responses is 12/08/26.

Responses can be submitted here.
