Bòrd na Gàidhlig are delighted to announce the launch of a new campaign entitled Dean Diofar Tràth-bhliadhnaichean (Make a difference in the Early Years) aimed at encouraging people to embark on a career in the Gaelic early years sector.

Dèan Diofar Tràth-bhliadhnaichean was developed with support from Local Authority Practitioners to promote careers in Gaelic Early Years Education.

Gaelic Early Years Education is a vital first step within Gaelic Medium Education & is a key priority area, highlighted within the National Gaelic Language Plan 2018 – 2023.

With the Scottish Governments commitment to expand ELC provision to 1140 hours, more Gaelic ELC Practitioners will be required to ensure Gaelic Medium Education can continue to meet the demand from parents & children.

It is hoped by showcasing the breadth of opportunities offered by a career in Gaelic Early Years Sector that more people will be encouraged to come forward.

Bòrd na Gàidhlig are thankful to Local Authorities for allowing practitioners to input their invaluable knowledge to this campaign.
