Community projects will be supported through the funds to build on the cultural, social, educational, and economic impacts of Gaelic in these areas. The projects that receive funding will have a shared aims of promoting and encouraging people to speak and use Gaelic in their daily lives, building on inter-generational relationships, and normalising Gaelic as a community language. People and groups based in Uist and North-west Lewis are strongly encouraged to apply for funding to deliver projects that will protect, encourage, and strengthen the growth of the Gaelic language, in line with the fund guidelines.
